About Us

Assistance League of Greater Portland operates community service programs:

• Operation School Bell provides new school clothes for children in need.
• Assault Survivor Kits provide a fresh outfit and toiletries for victims of rape and domestic violence in eight local hospitals.
• Life Story Books offer foster children and abused or neglected children a place for treasured keepsakes.
• We provide enrichment activities and encouragement to teens in residential treatment.
• Our scholarship program supports trade school students.
